Summer of Change Festival

This groundbreaking event takes place in a magical indoor, fairy-lit tent in East London, and will unite organisations such as Action for Happiness, the Museum of Happiness, Mindapples, Olio and Impact Hub, alongside individuals including ex-Blue Peter gardener Chris Collins and artist / activist Milan Rai and his white butterflies for peace.

Hosting the festival is community hub The Canvas:, a not-for-profit creative space that supports and enables the launch of new ideas that improve the lives of others, providing a blank canvas for positive activism. Launching as London’s first Happy Café in 2015 in partnership with Action for Happiness and since opening in 2014, ‘The Canvas:’ has facilitated the launch of over 30 new ideas to London including supper clubs working with the homeless and refugees, comedy and poetry nights supporting mental health, and free creative sessions for vulnerable adults in Tower Hamlets.

The Summer of Change Festival is taking place over 8 days, with 8 themes spanning from Community Action and Social Businesses to Dance and Mental Well-being. Activities include interactive sessions with Radical Happiness and 5Rhythms Dance, panel discussions led by experts on the rise of urban environments, and key-note speakers on the future of humanity and how we can all contribute to a positive change movement. Each evening will close with live music performances supporting local and trendy artists.
